Ruben Colon De Jesus
February 12,1943 - March 8,2024

Ruben Colon De Jesus, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, a faithful son of the almighty.

He had many trades and skills as a carpenter, mechanic and a jack of all trades. He owned his own business "Colon Home Improvement" and worked with private individuals, The City of Rochester, Isla Housing, ABC Community Development, Rochester Housing Authority. From the early 1970 to late 1980's he lead congregations in Rochester NY, Buffalo NY, and Caguas PR as a Pastor/Minister of the Congregation of Yahweh. In the Later years of his life he served the congregation as part of missionary/ambassador groups visiting Agentina, Mexico, Santo Domingo and congregations in the United States.

He predeceased his loving wife of 59 years Rosa Maria; 4 devoted children, Miriam Esther (Juan Carlos), Blanca lriz (Daniel), Misael Ruben (trusted travel companion), Adam Ruben (Lisa); 8 grandchildren, Josue, Eleazar (Aneisa), Elisabet "Tiny", Ezequiel, Cyad, Kain, Judah Ruben Adam, Levi Stephen Ruben; 2 great-grandchildren, Elian, Ezra; many nieces and nephews and his sister Maria and honorary brother Jose Vargas (Migdonia).

On Friday March 8, 2024 at the St Ann's Leo care Center The Almighty called him home.
Ruben passed peacefully next to his loving wife, surrounded by his children, loved ones and loving staff "family". He will be greatly missed by many as he touched so many people and left a mark wherever he went. The family invites you to join them to say "Until we meet again".
His family will receive friends at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.), on Thursday, March 14, 4:00 - 7:00 pm and Friday, March 15, 2024, 10:00 - 11:00 am immediately followed by his funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment 1:00 pm at Riverside Cemetery.
