Obituary of Wasyl Bilan

Bilan, Wasyl Irondequoit : Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the age of 93. Wasyl was born in Krohulech, Husiatyn Ukraine on March 22nd 1922. Predeceased by his parents and siblings, he is survived by his wife; Barbara , his children; Tamara & Marko ; his stepdaughter; Donna (Doug) Sheesley, his granddaughter; Tanya (Jay) , his great grandchildren; Jordan & Giovanni & his beloved nieces Luba & Ludmilla in Kazskstan. Wasyl came to the United States in May of 1957 & settled in Rochester the same year. He worked at Eastman Kodak Co. as a carpenter in the renovation shop. Wasyl was a Veteran of the Ukrainian National Army & long time President of the branch here in Rochester. He dedicated his time & energy to the Rochester Ukrainian American Community including St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church & Ukrainian Federal Credit Union. He was a beloved husband, father & friend & will be missed by many. His family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home. (Panachyda Wednesday 6:30 pm) Friends are invited to meet the family Thursday 9:30 am at St. Josaphats Ukrainian Catholic Church for his Divine Liturgy.
