Payne, Evelyn E Irondequoit: Loved by all she touched, Evelyn passed away in peace on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at age 96. She was pre-deceased by her husband Victor and her siblings Lawrence McVinnie, Edwin McVinnie, Helen McVinnie, Rita Foos and Marge Ejchorst. Evelyn is survived by her son Glen Payne, daughters Linda Payne and Karen Payne, daughter in-law Louette Strobeck Payne, sons in-law Atilla Dilek and Richard Polsky, grandson Ryan Polsky, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a graduate of Nazareth Academy and Rochester Business Institute and took a great joy in her many years of meaningful work as a secretary for the Rochester City School District before retiring to focus on her love of family, friends and community. No prior visitation. Friends are invited to join the family Sunday October 11, 2015, 10:00am at White Haven Memorial Park for a graveside service. (Please meet at the front entrance of White Haven). A memorial service for Evelyn will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1650 South Ave. #100, Rochester, NY 14620.
