Obituary of William F. Riedman

Bill Riedman, predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mary Kay Riedman, passed away suddenly on December 15th. Bill graduated from SUNY Geneseo in May - 1979 and then went on to work at Michael Baker Corp. as an archeologist for more than 25 years. He was a gifted pianist and enjoyed all types of music as well as playing Scrabble. In June of 1977, Bill received the Meritorious Service Certificate from the Rochester Safety Council for rescuing two little girls who had fallen through ice , that winter, on a pond near his home. Bill is survived by his, son Michael Riedman; sisters, Sue Moshier (Pat), Ginny Riedman-Dangler (Jim), Katie Foster (Tim) and brother Tom Riedman (Tracey Kohl); nephew, Stephen Foster; nieces, Jennifer Ushe (Kuda) and Katie Blattner (great nephew, Isaiah Blattner and Simba Ushe; close friend, Cindy Shonberg. Family will receive friends and family Friday January 2nd at Harris Family Center from 3:00-5:00pm (560 Kings Hwy S, located behind funeral home) where his memorial service will follow at 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory can be made to the Eastman School of Music (Eastman Pathway Fund)26 Gibbs St. Rochester, NY 14604, for students with financial needs.
