Church, Louine Eleanora West Irondequoit: Louine Eleanora (Malmfeldt) Church passed away Saturday December 13th, 2014. "Ennie" was born September 12, 1925 in Hartford, Connecticut. She is the daughter of Louine and Carl J. Malmfeldt, a prominent Hartford architect. She attended the West Hartford schools and graduated from Randolph Macon College in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1947. Ennie worked briefly for Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford. She married Oliver Karl Church Jr. June 25, 1948. Her husband was a well respected family physician in West Irondequoit for thirty-five years until his death in 1999. She is survived by her five children, Anne (Chuck) Gatti of Eastham, MA., Amy Erbil of Atlanta, GA., Oliver Karl (Maureen) Church III of West Irondequoit, NY., Thomas D. (Maria) Church of Seoul, Korea, and Virginia (Mitchel) Katz of Rocky Hill, CT. In addition, she leaves behind eight grandchildren, Christopher Gatti, Kaya and Anne Erbil, Brandon and Hana Church and Doug, Dan and David Katz, two great grandsons, Oliver and Levi Gatti and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brother, James (Marcia) Malmfeldt of Osprey, FL. She is predeceased by her sister, Phoebe Sceery of Cohasset, MA., her brother, John Malmfeldt of Seattle, WA. And her grandson, Karl Gatti of Canterbury, CT Ennie enjoyed sharing her summer home on Cape Cod with family and friends. She truly enjoyed the Cape Cod beaches. She was a supporter of the arts (theatres, concerts and museums). She was also an avid reader and supporter of numerous libraries. She took a keen interest in education, women's issues and politics. While her children were young, she enjoyed knitting for her family and friends. Calling hours will be held Saturday January 24th at the Harris Family Center from 12pm - 2pm where Ennie's celebration of life service will follow at 2pm.
